Mini Review

Clue or Cluedo as it is better known outside of the US is a notoriously famous board game produced by the Parker Brothers. The aim is to use a series of deduction to discover how Mr Body was killed. It can be any combination of weapon, room and suspect person. All of the original locations, weapons and suspects are present. Players take turns to roll the dice to move around the mansion shaped board. Once in a room the player can make interrogations or an accusation as to the correct combination of location, murder weapon and killer.

This digital version of the game is an excellent conversion. There are fully automated dice rolls over the playing board and the general feel of the original has been kept. On radical difference is the animation. On interrogating another player you will be treated to a short animation of the accusation being made. This brings the game to life and something that the original could never have. The original board game is obviously more social and perhaps a little more fun. However, if you are new to the game this might be a nice introduction. It’s worth a try but not an essential Sega Mega Drive/Genesis game.
